I wanted to just thank Ashley for all the work he has done for this project... I know that navigating the National Archive site is no fun and to make sense of it all is whole other problem.

does anyone know who it was that originally paid to have these files opened and therfore digitized and made public?

Hey thanks for the kudos jason.

I second your question... who was it that paid to have our files digitized??

it costs $16 to get a document put up and there is quite a few of them up there.

It occured to me last night that if it wasn't done by a Gee (or a Fong) then it may have been the writer that Lena Gee had working on her book?!

Apparently from her research she didn't think the project was interesting enough to persue... and she was probably sick of Lena's demands! :)
