Lot 401 Cavenagh St, Palmerston 1890

On 1st September 1890 three parties Wo Yuen (LAU Dan), Yot Sing and Wing Wah Loong (FONG How) signed a seven year lease on lot 401 in Cavenagh Street , Palmerston.
[Lease No 1232; Vol IV, Folio 238]

They signed the lease, not in their personal names, but in the names or style of their businesses. The Lessor, Alfred Francis WEAVER, was a gentleman of Edwardstown, South Australia and the yearly rental was £30.

They renewed the lease on 1st November 1897. [Lease No 1897; Volume IV; Folio 238]

Lot 401 was situated directly opposite the Terminus Hotel and the 'Tree of Knowledge' and is now parkland opposite the Council Chambers.
