Ernest Gee in Hong Kong
This picture was taken on 28th of February 1937.Ernest was attending college in Hong Kong. This was the time that the Japanese forces were in China. I recall the story that Ernest had visited Canton (Guangzhou) the Gee village and could see the fires from the bombing of Canton.

03. Fong Tang Fun (Kang Fun).
He was born on 01 Aug 1900 in Darwin.Cause of Death 1920 in Hong Kong, China (after marriage).
04. Fong Kim Sing.
She was born on 23 Aug 1902 in Darwin. She died on 12Aug 1950 in Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia.
05. Fong Che Syn (Frances).
She was born on 15 Aug 1905 in Darwin. Shedied on 30 Sep 1989 in Sydney. She was also known as Che Shing.

I think this is one of my favourite photo's from Lena's Collection as it captures such a fine moment in time....

At first I thought this was Edwina.. but then I did the Maths and realised Edwina would have been a little girl in 1939. And so, this was sent to Lena from one of her gorgeous friends 'Winnie'.
